Microsoft's LaPlante Joins ROY-G-BIV Advisory Board
Bingen, WA – June
2006 – ROY-G-BIV Corporation, a leading provider of
machine-to-enterprise integration solutions for
manufacturing, announced the addition of Microsoft executive
Rick LaPlante to its corporate advisory board. Mr. LaPlante
offers 18 years of expertise managing and growing various
software development platform and tools businesses at
Microsoft Corporation.

connectivity to both legacy and modern machine tools and

Mr. LaPlante started Microsoft’s
Visual Studio Team System product line and is currently the
Director and General Manager of this new multi-hundred
million dollar revenue business.
He joined Microsoft in 1988 and
has held a variety of positions including Software Design
Engineer and Group Program Manager for the C++ compiler
product line, Development Manager of Microsoft's Internal
Tools engineering team, and Director of Business Development
for the company's Developer and .NET platform lines of
business.
In his limited discretionary
time he is an avid outdoorsman and spends time fishing,
camping, snowmobiling, and snow skiing with his wife and
daughter.
